EPIC, HYBRID TRAILER FORWARD

Post by petercole » Mon Feb 20, 2017 5:04 pm

I'm really excited about this one. I'm still new to Trailer music, and the whole epic/hybrid genre in general. I've been studying a lot and I've learned so much from the Taxi screeners as well as you all.

As I mention in my response to Fuller's forward for this same listing, our screener, #387, provided some amazing, detailed feedback to help improve our work and increase the chances for getting placed. Thanks again screener #387!!!

For listing:

EPIC, HYBRID TRAILER INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a Large, cutting edge Music Licensing Company that has tons placements in TV and Films. They're looking for dramatic, Mid-Tempo Instrumentals that have the intensity and Three Act arrangement of a typical Feature Film Trailer. Please listen to the following examples to get in the general ballpark of what they need: "Echelon" (Mortal Instruments trailer music): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYC-BQXyaM0 "We Are The Resistance" by Kings & Creatures: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLztq3GayXk "Creation of Earth" by Thomas Bergersen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIDrEvJ8zq8 Please give them well-crafted Trailer Instrumentals that deliver a powerful, compelling energy. The structure of your instrumental should be what you'd typically hear in film trailers. Your Instrumental should start with slow build and progress into a dramatic climax. Using a Three Act arrangement will make your piece more desirable for end users. Your arrangement should make use of a variety of Electronic and Orchestral instrumentation such as risers, pads, hits, stings and even some minimal vocal chants. All submissions should be at least two and a half minutes long, with good edit points and big, dramatic stinger endings. Do NOT copy or rip off the referenced music in any way, shape, or form. Use it only as a general guide for feel, texture, tone, and vibe. Broadcast quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). This company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal, so please be sure your material is NOT already signed to any other Libraries or Catalogs. They split sync fees 50/50. You'll keep 100% of your Writer's share and they'll keep 100% of the Publishing. You must own or control 100% of your Master and Copyright. Broadcast quality is needed (great home recordings are fine). Please submit one to three Instrumentals online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by a TAXI screener handpicked by the Publisher and must be received no later than 11:59PM (PST), on Thursday, February 2nd, 2017. TAXI #S170202EI

I enjoyed all three 'acts'. :)
Congratulations Peter!
Graham (UK). Still composing a little faster than decomposing, and 100% HI.

Nice job Peter!

You went in a really cool "techy" direction! I really like it. Also, the choir is awesome!! Hope we both get some good news!!!
