Good afternoon guys. Sorry I haven't been as active on the boards recently. Been busy with work, school (I finish my credits in February and graduate in May), and of course making music. But I return with good news! Yesterday, I received my first ever royalty statement from BMI! I earned a total of $94.36 from two first quarter placements from the TAXI friendly library on the West Coast. None of this would've been possible without TAXI's guidance and plethora of opportunities. My membership renewal is coming up in less than two weeks and I'll begin Year 3 of this journey with TAXI starting October 1st. I'm just so thankful! A lot of this has happened unusually fast. For some it happens faster than others and for others it takes awhile, don't be discouraged.
Funny thing about BMI, I registered with them as a songwriter back in 2006 and am just now reaping the benefits. I saw this day coming eventually, but I didn't think it would take 10 years. Of course I grew tired, weary, frustrated, you name it, but I never quit. Things take time. Perfect your craft, keep working, and never give up!
