Fun, Carefree Fwd
Happy to find that my track "Fun All Day" was forwarded for the listing below. Its at
https://www.taxi.com/GrahamAndrews
I went with the description more than the a-la's this time, and it seemed to work - remarkably. The screener suggested adding maybe a bass in one of the sections too. I'll try that for the track's next outing, should it get no further this time.
FUN, CAREFREE INSTRUMENTALS are needed for a $500, NON-Exclusive, Direct-to-Music-Supervisor placement in an Online Commercial for a popular, new Beverage. They’re looking for emotionally upbeat, Mid-to-Up- Instrumentals in the general stylistic wheelhouse of the references below:
“Come Get It Bae” by Pharrell Williams: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfGMj10wOzg
“Shake It Off” by Taylor Swift: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfWlot6h_JM
“All About That Bass” by Meghan Trainor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PCkvCPvDXk
Although the references have vocals, please submit Instrumentals only for this pitch. Give them well-crafted Instrumentals that are rhythmically and melodically engaging, while creating a feel-good vibe. Your Instrumentals can range from very simple tracks with just a Ukulele, handclaps, and a whistle; to small acoustic-based ensembles; and all the way up to more fully-produced Instrumentals. Feel free to get creative with styles and tones, as long as you keep the overall mood happy and emotionally upbeat. Finger snaps are pretty cliché, but they still work! Try them with a tuba and a banjo or something fun like that!! All submissions should be at least 40 seconds in length. They can be a minute or two as well, as long as they’re easy to edit and have non-faded, stinger endings. ...... no later than 11:59PM (PST), on Wednesday, March 15th, 2017. TAXI #Y170315CI

Great job on this one! Really like the fun vibe you captured with this one! I'm going to show my ignorance by saying I think that strummed instrument is a ukulele, but whatever it is, you did a masterful job playing it!

Thanks for the comments fellas, but I can't claim that I 'played' the Uke.

Congrats, and well done, Graham.
I like the idea of adding a bass, just to give the piece a little more variety.

Thanks Henry.
On creation I'd decided to omit bass and keep the track open-sounding and a little different. As its so short I thought it would stand without. However, I think you (and the screener) are right and I'll probably go with a sparse bass part introduced part-way through a longer version of the track.
