INTENSE THEATRICAL ORCHESTRAL INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a successful Music Library with global distribution and a long track record of awesome Film and TV placements. They’re eager to find some, high-energy, Mid-to-Up-Tempo Orchestral Instrumentals that could work well for Action or Fantasy-based Films, TV Shows, Cartoons, and other media. Please listen to the following examples to get in the broad stylistic range of what they need: “Nailin’ The Kelvin” by Michael Giacchino: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fuOLz2_gug “Destiny” – Michael Salvatori https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sy_d1j1V064 “Tikal” by E.S. Posthumus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIyKoPuqTH0 “He’s a Pirate” – Klaus Badelt and Hans Zimmer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCkMnVcf3oY “Downtown Battle” by Steve Jablonsky https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzQV4upZbh8 “The Immortals” by Two Steps From Hell: (start at 0:26) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYIAXo3_37M Please send high-energy, epic Orchestral Instrumentals that sound like what you’d hear in a big, Hollywood theatrical release. Your submissions can range from classically thrilling, to heartwarming and heroic, to anthemic, to adventurous, and even dark and bombastic. What might you hear as thousands of medieval troops run down a mountainside and head into a bloody battle? What would you hear in a thrilling high-intensity car chase or an epic battle between alien invaders and the citizens of Earth? Yep, that’s what we’re talking about! The trick is to not try and score an entire film. Just stick to one mood for your entire piece because it’s extremely likely it will be used in just one scene that has… you guessed it – just one mood! Non-lyrical choir vocals can be used as “instruments,” percussion, and eve some touches of electronic instruments can be used to go for a more modern sound. Your Virtual Instrument/Samples need to sound like the real deal, not an over-quantized, MIDI-Driven imitation of a real orchestra. Builds and big climaxes will give your Instrumentals a sense of forward movement and heart-pounding dynamics. BUT, be careful to not over do it or make your piece too compositionally complicated. Stick to one central motif and try to keep it simple! Remember, it's the vibe and emotion that they’re looking for, not necessarily the best composer or most intricate instrumental. All submissions should be at least 2 minutes in length. Good edit points, and non-faded, buttoned/stinger endings will work best for this pitch. Do NOT copy or rip off the referenced composers in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for feel, texture, tone, and vibe. Broadcast quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine).
This Library offers an EXCLUSIVE, 50/50 split. You’ll get 50% of any applicable sync fees and 100% of the Writer’s share. The Publisher will get 50% of the sync fee and 100% of the Publisher’s share. Do not submit any material for this pitch that is already signed to any other libraries or catalogs. You must own or control your Master and Composition to submit to this pitch. Please submit one to three Instrumentals online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis - No full critiques. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59PM (PST), on Tuesday, December 27th. TAXI #D161227IO
