Re: My First Placement
Thank you Lamar, Paul and Alessandro, much appreciated.
Alessandro, in answer to your question. A lot of Taxi members get placements faster than I did. So take hope. I usually got about 1 forward for every 10 in sent in. I would say I submit about 40 songs a year. The song that got the placement, never got a forward, no matter how many times I sent it in. ( that was more my fault for not understanding the listings ). I submitted the song I got placed in a library 3 years ago. It was pitched by that library about 11 times over 3 years, until it got placed 3 days ago. As you can see, there is no exact formula ( at least in my case ) on getting a song placed. The main thing that I had going was constantly being involved in the Taxi forum, where I got to meet Mark Blackwell and many other great collaborators. Not to be corny, but they are the wind beneath my wings Really what it comes down to in the end, is persistence. I am just too stupid to give up I would say, give Taxi and yourself a chance and try not to judge your success by how others are doing. I did that a lot and it is a waste of time. You could be doing music instead. I hope that helps you and welcome to Taxi.

Re: My First Placement
Thank you Ron I appreciated it !
Hey Marc, thank you so much for getting me to this place. You did a great job on the song and Debbie's vocal sealed the deal. I had a lot of hope for this song and I am really glad that it finally found a home!

Re: My First Placement
Thank you for your compliment. After listening to some of your sound track work, you should have no problem getting placements. Amazing stuff !
