New cue Would like Comments Please

Post by shellsings » Tue Feb 14, 2017 5:01 am

Hi Folks

One of my goals is to start making cues this year. This thing I have had in my head for a while. It is a quirky cue, Just want over all comments for what I should ad or do to the instrumentation, mix comments, anything that would make this better. Where the cowbell, bongo and triangle are, I wanted to vary those sounds each time, like some with a horn sound, or whistle, just quirky crap each time, but not sure. Also I want to keep it acoustic and simple. So any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

I think, uke needs backing up with more instruments.
Mac OS10, Logic X, Ozone 6
EWQL Hollywood Strings, Woodwind & Brass, Serum

Hey Shell, cute song! I agree it seems rather empty at the moment. I don't think adding drums and bass will take away from the simplicity of it; just an acoustic walking line with light brushes on the drums should do it. Also, I know the uke is a quirky instrument, but you may need to do a re-take of that part, as there are a few parts where it doesn't sound in tune or the chord was missed. Good luck!
