Back from my first Rally -- what an incredible experience.

Post by HenriettaAtkin » Sun Nov 06, 2016 6:39 pm

Hello everyone,

It would have been enough just to finally meet all my FB/TAXI friends who have been so kind and friendly to me my first year at TAXI.

But there was so much more....

The classes were amazing . What you learn about the music business on the Forums, through the listings and on TAXI TV is stellar information, and you absolutely can forge your career with those three things alone, I should think.

But the in-person experience of top industry people sharing their secrets and genuinely wanting to help is an unforgettable experience. It was very practical and helpful, and I feel I know so much more about where my music is going. This in turn will help me to write more marketable music.

The mentor experience was a highlight for me. Having an A1, top-notch composer and producer listen to my music, tell me he likes it, and shows me how to go further with it gave me a self-esteem boost that will lift me through the inevitable rejections that come with the 5-year plan.

Really a career-changing event.

Sign me a BELIEVER! Thank you Michael and your entire staff for making this event so enjoyable and informative. It is a one-of-a-kind experience.

Henrietta

It was great to meet you, too, Andy!

I was intrigued by your ideas about cue construction in the latest Transmitter article -- the A, A, A, A form. Do you have any samples on your Soundcloud page of this form?

Glad to hear that Henrietta.. I couldn't make it to the rally this year, but I'm already planning it for next year, hopefully!

NIce to meet you Henrietta!
I was away from Taxi for over a year but it felt like "home" being at the Rally and absorbing the knowledge and the positive energy.
