Re: The Eurythmics and a Teac 8 track..
I recorded for years with this exact same combination: A Tascam 1/2" 8-track and a Soundcraft board! The recordings still sound AMAZING! Unfortunately, my Tascam 38 died, but I still have (and use, daily) my Soundcraft board. It's an amazing piece of gear!... I've considered buying another Tascam 8-track, because the tape saturation effect is unbeatable. I always put a SMPTE stripe on track 8, so I had unlimited MIDI tracks to go along with 7 analog tracks. For most things, that was plenty of tracks!... Plus, I still have all the Ampeg 456 8-track tapes sitting in storage. Hey, maybe I'll find one on eBay!
