IS THIS BETTER/ASIAN CUE

Post by ronnie35 » Thu Feb 16, 2017 8:12 pm

Hello Another try at the asian cue. or should I give it a go? New Listing TRADITIONAL-Sounding ASIAN INSTRUMENTALS CUES are needed by an EXCLUSIVE Music Library that has an exceptionally long list of great TV and Film placements. They're looking to find Mid-to-Down Tempo Cues that are in the range and styles of the references below and just about any other traditional music you might expect to hear anywhere on the Asian continent :
"Japanese Folk Music" - Sakura https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chwADnoFDng
“Blooming of Rainy Night Flowers” – Traditional Chinese Music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1hKGu0miL8
“Traditional Vietnamese Court Music” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVwuU24YEJQ
Please send in Traditional Asian Instrumental Cues that sound like they’re coming straight out of East and Southeast Asia. Instrumental Cues that can be used in travel documentaries, food shows, and TV commercials are what they’re looking for! Anything that instantly establishes locations ranging from parks with cherry blossoms, dense jungles, and the Great Wall of China will work well as long as it’s well done and the Instruments sound organic and authentic. Your Instrumentation can range from solo Instrumentals to small ensembles, and can include traditional Asian instrumentation such as the Erhu, the Pipa, and the Taiko Drums. Assuming that you’ll be using mostly Virtual Instruments, please make sure they sound convincing. Instruments that sound stiff, obviously quantized, or synthy sounding won’t work for this company.
All submissions should be at least 2 minutes long, give or take. Buttoned/Stinger Endings are encouraged for this company, and good edit points will be appreciated. Do NOT copy or rip off the referenced composers in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for feel, texture, tone, and vibe. Broadcast quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine).
This Library offers an EXCLUSIVE deal, so the material you submit for this pitch CANNOT be signed with any other music libraries, publishers or catalogs. Sync fees will be split 50/50. The Publisher will get 100% of the Publisher’s share, and you’ll get 100% of the Writer’s share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to pitch for this opportunity. Please submit one to three Instrumental Cues online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis - No full critiques. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59PM (PST), on Sunday, February 19th, 2017. TAXI #Y170219AI
