Metadata & How Long?
I was told by the headscreener that when you get a forward they send off your information with it so they can contact you if you get a deal. I'm not sure if that is the reason I haven't gotten any deals since I joined or if I just suck. I have had way more returns than forwards (11 forwards and 18 returns, terrible) and not one person has gotten back to me, how long did it take everyone else to get a deal? Everyday I wake up and look at my emails to see if someone has contacted me but nope. I feel like this isn't working for me and I am honestly losing hope in Taxi.

Re: Metadata & How Long?
For me personally, I've been contacted before finding out I've been forwarded, and up to a year after a forward.
For others it has been up to three years from the forward date.

Hi Don,
11/18 is a very good ratio. If you've had so many tracks forwarded they can't suck, and Taxi would not put them through just to make you feel worthy. If they got through then you ARE worthy.
Remember that those tracks are then in competition with others from all the best composers though, so Its hardly surprising that not all forwards result in deals. Deals might get your tracks in libraries, but even that's no guarantee of them ever being used. It could take years to see anything positive.
However, there might just be something in your tracks that makes them stand out amongst the competition and gets you deals and placements. Through Taxi you might be lucky enough to get straight through to a producer of a prime-time TV show that's endlessly repeated across many networks, as well as being syndicated around the globe. Wouldn't that be fun? The point is, the only thing you can be certain of is that it won't happen if you don't keep submitting. Keep the faith, stop checking the inbox, and make more music instead!
