I received notice that the 2 tracks I submitted for Y170205DC - DARK, DRONE-Y, INSTRUMENTAL CUES were forwarded! I am super excited...now what? What happens next? I think I read about the process somewhere but until now I was just focused on getting forwarded. Any insight into the process will be help. Hi Roc,
Congratulations on the forwards! Its a great first milestone. As for what happens next, you'll find tons of examples in this forum of the same question. Its probably worthwhile doing a quick search to get the spread of answers, but I'll offer a quick perspective.

Your tracks now join others from Taxi that are sent through the those who requested the music, and may well join many tracks from elsewhere for selection. If its a library they might be willing to offer contracts on quite a few tracks, but if its a music supervisor for a TV show they might want only a few tracks or even just one track. Standards are high and requirements are exacting. Therefore, there's a fairly high chance that what happens next is ..... absolutely nothing! They certainly won't tell you if they don't want your tracks, and unfortunately, that's the result from a lot of forwards for many of us. However, don't be disheartened by that. The key is to keep earning those forwards, so your music reaches the right ears and is actually competing. Alternatively, if your tracks are chosen (the second milestone) you'll most likely receive an email message asking for you to respond in some way. The basics of the deal you'll be offered are already spelled out on the Taxi listing, but you should check the full contract they propose. Libraries might also ask you to provide several different versions or edits of your tracks, so don't be surprised by that.

Note that its not good for your health to watch your inbox 24/7 eagerly waiting for that email. If its going to happen, it will happen when it happens. Until then, increase your chances by writing lots more music. You'll see it everywhere on this forum but ....
