another one for the 30 sec SUV big $$ pitch

your ears are appreciated:

https://soundcloud.com/andy-gabrys-music/pulse

for this one due at 12 Noon PDT today:

ORCHESTRAL INSTRUMENTALS are URGENTLY needed by a Major NY Ad Agency
for a luxury SUV TV commercial. Think luxury, sophistication, movement, and heartpounding
excitement. Your instrumental track should start out with a medium-high
intensity, and the intensity level should grow from there to a final, dramatic crescendo that
ends with a ring out that goes to 29.5 seconds. Your track can NOT exceed 29.5 seconds in total length!

The Agency asked for "stately, confident, simple" orchestral themes, which sounds like they want
something fairly traditional sounding. When we asked NY for more clarification, we were told,
"...traditional, but maybe some modern elements or touches of sound design."
If you're wondering what that means, consider this: the spot has a one-second slow motion shot at 13
seconds. You could do some sort of decrescendo that ends with an explosive, dramatic hit a second
later because the SUV goes airborne right after the slow mo shot.
No matter what you do, make sure your track builds, and has an arc that continues to build throughout
the piece. Don't let your track lay there like a lox! This commercial is a series of quick cut action shots
of the SUV going through its paces on snow, desert, and the open road, so ask yourself, "What would a
financially comfortable SUV buyer relate to musically that would get his (or her) pulse racing?"
All instrumentation must sound real and authentic. No cheap string sounds for this spot! If your track is
easy to edit, and easy to edit to, that could help make it more competitive.

The estimated license fee for this placement is $15,000-$20,000. This is a Direct-to Agency
placement

Right on, seems to fit the listing really well to my ears. I like the cymbal crescendo at 0:13; that could work well with the "freeze" shot they described. Would it be worth turning the cymbal up for just that one spot, to increase the "drama" a bit? This style is a bit out of my element; so I'm not sure if that's needed, just a thought. Sounds fantastic though! Good luck!

man, blows me away how you guys can create these soundscapes! closed my eyes and imagined the latest suv going through its paces. your piece is powerful, with the cool dynamic change at :13 for the slo mo. my only question...your piece makes the vehicle seem like a modern super-hero, and that may be what they want. but when they say 'traditional', might that also mean they want some amazing mozart riffs with a modern edge/punch underneath? crank out another one andy, i wanna hear it!!

I only have 55 minutes lol! Yeah I might be too modern. Crawdaddy

Thanks for the listen Bob. I'll listen again with that cymbal / white noise sweep in mind.

Very Nice work! I agree with the "sweep" being a hair more intense...

Your song will work great for an adventure type of SUV ad...can't really imagine they would use it for a luxury type of SUV. That being said...really unbelievable work on your part. Very professional and a great mix.

Good luck with it.
