Subscribing to Threads/Email Notifications

Post by solidwalnut » Tue Oct 01, 2013 2:43 pm

I apologize, but I'm not seeing it. How do you subscribe to threads (so you know when there's been a comment) and similarly, subscribe to email notifications of post replies?

Thanks.

When viewing a thread, look for the link toward the top left of screen that says "Subscribe topic". If you click that you will get an email whenever a new post is made on that thread.

I missed both of those, even though I THOUGHT I looked in both places.

Thanks Andy and Casey!

I find it easier to just go to "View your posts" in the top right, just below the yellow bar. Click that and you'll see all the threads you've commented on. And you'll be able to see at a glance if you were the last person to post there.

That's a nice feature. Thanks for pointing it out coachdebra. I can see where this is going to be useful. Sometimes, though, rather than cruising the forum I'd rather get specific emails so I can check out the thread. But, all is well and I have it figured out now.

Hah - I get SO MANY EMAILS - anything I can do to limit that for myself. I try to get into the forum on my lunch or dinner break a few times a week, so I just click the "view your posts" and then go through as many "View new posts" as I have time for.
