This thread, and my outsider position, reminds me of the story of Joni Mitchell writing the song "Woodstock"...not from experience, but through the accounts of her peers who told her what was going down.
Still...I'm working on the networking and friendship-building part in the meantime, until such time I find myself on the inside;
and no longer among the wannabees.
Thanks to Mazz, et al, for adding and expressing your stories.

Cheers,
Peter R.

A lot of people don't know that Joni Mitchell wasn't at Woodstock even though she penned the famous song about it. ;)

Yeh, Casey;
As I understand it, she was booked to do The Dick Cavett Show, which was a big coming-out gig for her on a nationally-televised show. In addition to that, the reports were that the crowds were already restricting access in and away from Yasgur's farm.
I guess a few more people showed up than they had anticipated. :lol: ... oops.

Cheers,

Mazz, your support over these last few years (in my little world) has meant a lot. Thanks for the friendship, the constant presence, and the sage advice on various musical angles. Super appreciate that. And your observations, as well, are nicely dialed in and resonate with me. I found this years Rally pretty mind blowing. Now, I'm taking the Holidays off to have some chill time, assess myself and my work, develop a little more detail into my approaches... and... I'm really looking forward to popping out the other side re-energized, re-focused, and more determined than ever.

And of course looking forward to our paths crossing again, in whatever way that may be. Mele Kalikimaka! :)
