What does the first letter of a listing mean?

Post by DanLuedke » Mon Jan 20, 2014 1:59 pm

I'm sure this has been answered but I couldn't figure out how to search for it:

What does the first letter of a listing mean? For example, there are Y listings (yes/no?), S listings, U listings, etc.

Thanks!

Good question, Dan. I've often wondered about this myself. The only one I know of for sure is that "D" stands for Dispatch. Pretty sure "Y" stands for a simple "yes/no" listing that doesn't offer full critiques. Not sure about the "S", but I think that may be for full-critique listings. As for the "U", heck if I know...

yep, I dunno either except for what Matt was saying.

maybe U stands for upfront fee or something. seem to be a number of direct to super and direct o whoever with a sync fee that I have submitted to over the past year.

I thought the "S" stood for standard, but I could be wrong. Seems like the "U" listings are fairly new - at least to my knowledge. Upfront seems to make sense. And yes, I believe MAtt is correct on the D and Y ids

S listings have a full critique.

Y = yes/no, no critique, yes/no only except checkboxes and at the screener's discretion, some comments on why forward/return.

D = Dispatch. Results are in the format of "Y" listings.

U is used for the new quick turn film/TV listings such as direct to sup. Results are also in the format of "Y" listings. Not sure what the U stands for.
