Hey Michael,

Thanks for taking the time on a holiday to share your thoughts on my Miami track! That means a lot.

For the record, I wasn't posting here hoping someone was going to reverse the decision. LOL! I was using the forum for it's true purpose which is to get the feedback of my peers to see if i missed something.

I actually did reach out to Taxi and requested a "re-screen" of this song. It was returned from the 2nd screener too. Ha! I can appreciate that music, like food, does not taste the same to all consumers. I don't think my "Miami" song is that greatest thing I've ever written, I merely thought that since this was for a TV montage, likely only 30-45 seconds long, that my song had enough positives in its favor that it would at least earn a forward. If the music supe didn't use it then that would've been totally fine.

I'm not really bothered by this return anymore. I've healed. I've moved on. I'm dating other listings now. I now see that U140205MI and I were never meant to be together. Maybe it was because she was from Miami and I just couldn't stand the heat. I'm exclusively writing songs about Cleveland now and I'll be ready when NBC comes a knockin'... any day now... :D

Thanks again, Michael. Hope you had a great 4th.

:? this has been an interesting thread; and now this is an example of a wonderful, and hilariouly clever, 'button ending', imho.
Thanks for the humor; better luck in your next relationship. ;)

I have to agree with the gentleman that stated he couldn't understand the lyric. I felt the same way. I could barely understand what was being said. I also felt that the cowbell was too forward in the mix..

I didn't know you could request a re-screen!
