Very cool your music is in a video with all those views. Would absolutely NOT be cool with me to not get paid for that. I think Youtube is similar to Spotify where the creator gets paid per view, which you should absolutely be entitled to a piece of that pie. CAn't recall if you said you registered it, if so, contact the creator of the video and ask what your compensation is for that and if that goes nowhere, contact your PRO. My opinion. Anyone familiar with how the compensation works via Youtube?

The video creator and I have been in contact. He's even plugging the music when people ask. He licensed the track off a royalty-free site. We'll see how BMI handles this.

I assumed it had been up for awhile with that many views. Did I see right this only been up since Feb 25? WOW...... great piece BTW . Am I right in assuming you used Garritan for this? (based on other posts I've seen of yours)....

Chuck, yes, it was just posted on Feb 2th. Within a few days it hit 1 million views. I did that piece with Miroslav Philharmonik. It was basically the first orchestral piece I ever did.

It looks like you have a lot of tracks on that royalty free site. Would you be able to get royalties if the music were used in broadcast (ie. film, TV, advertisements...)?

Would it be too tacky to the owner if you could mention on the YT page that your track is for sale elsewhere?
