Here in Ireland we have IMRO, which is affiliated to ASCAP.
IMRO collects both the writers and publishers share for its members to whom that is relevant. It collects royalties pretty much worldwide.
What might be of interest to other non US songwriters using TAXI, is that IMRO say on their website that they will accept members who do not live in Ireland. Maybe this is useful for people where your countries PRO is 'unreliable' ?
I'm a member of IMRO and am happy to telephone them for clear, precise info if anyone wants/needs me to.
