I remember the first time "I Belong with You" was forwarded, I was so elated that I announced it on stage at a gig! Nowadays I forget to even tell my wife! Approaching 25x with no calls yet.

big congrats jared! if it's any consolation, i too have had a bunch of forwards that have not yet turned into deals.

just hang out with some buddhist monks for a few months, learn how to meditate, and your mind won't be churning over all the 'why nots'.

it takes a lot of energy to do all that thinking, which could be used instead for new writing.

ok, i'll stop counseling you now. love your music man!

Haha! You're totally right. I'm a university graduate who likes to figure everything out. But for all the time I waste yacking about forwards, I could be writing more songs (which I am doing as we speak).

It's a beautifu song with a beautiful delivery and the call will definitely come and when it comes it would have been worth every second of the wait. In the meantime, just keep making more great music like you've rightly said, for the love of the art.
