southern rock instrumental forwards

Post by rdance » Thu Apr 03, 2014 8:58 pm

well, it's been a good week. two forwards today and a couple in the last few weeks. and...i sold one of my buildings for a tidy sum, so it's off to a mecum auto auction in houston next week to shop for classic cars...yipee!

got these two through today:

http://thecrawdaddy.bandcamp.com/track/ ... thern-rock

http://thecrawdaddy.bandcamp.com/track/ ... ssive-rock

screener says:

"Hey Richard, the tracks make clear that you have played guitar at least for a few weeks and are familiar with Southern Rock. Ha. Seriously, very good work - really enjoyed the fluid guitar leads and rhythms and the many themes and harmonies - all of them fitting!
Really, this is all on the mark and above..."

third one was returned. screener said it would have also been a forward, but drums were too midi. (i used a drum machine even cheesier than the one i used on the songs that got forwards)..

the listing:

SOUTHERN ROCK INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a fast growing Production Music Library with a great list of really impressive Film and TV placements. They're looking for Classic, Southern Rock-sounding Instrumentals in the stylistic wheelhouse of bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers Band, The Marshall Tucker Band, .38 Special, etc. Give them original Instrumentals that sound like a real band, with instrumentation you'd commonly hear in that genre. Lots of Gibson guitars :-) Do NOT copy or rip off the referenced artists in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a guide for tempo, texture, and tone. This company offers a buyout deal. You get paid upfront fee for your tracks. The Music Library gets 100% EXCLUSIVE ownership of the copyright and master. You'll keep the writer's share, and get performance royalties directly from your PRO. You must own or control 100% of your Master and Copyright to submit for this pitch. Please submit one to three Instrumentals online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than Monday, March 31, 2014. TAXI #S140331SR

Classy stuff Richard. I meant the songs but that beautiful Wildcat fits the bill too. I'm no car guy, but that is awesome and it brings back memories of the 60's/70's for sure. My father had a (I believe it was '65) White Buick Special. Probably the only car he ever bought new. A basic "dad/family" car, but I remember checking out the other Buicks of the era.

My first car was a Plymouth Belvedere. I remember it had this funky/cool shift mechanism on the left side.

Great tunes and well deserved forwards.
