20 stabbed at a Pittsburgh high school......guns, knives, bullying!!!
Man, why don't some of these kids start picking up musical instruments??
At least I only kill ears with my music...

It would bottleneck everything at the metal detectors is probably the real reason

Very basically it's probably the lack of supervision. I don't mean security guards per se, but the lack of adults being actively involved at all times in the kid's lives. Back in the day when I was growing up, there was only so much you could do because there were adults everywhere, they knew you and your parents and wouldn't hesitate to tattle,lol!

People work longer and harder, and it's not uncommon for both parents to be working and even grandparents nowadays.
