My First Ever Forward !!
I am so amazed !! I got my first ever forward today, for a collaboration with Michelle Lockey The song is "This Is The End" and the listing is below. You can hear the song on Michelle's Taxi page, or on either of our SoundCloud pages.
I'm kinda extra chuffed because although Michelle is experienced, this was (I think) the first ever listing I have had submitted, and it's been forwarded !
Michelle wrote the music, did the vocals, instrumentation and production, and backing chorus vocals were by Nathan Nasby. I wrote the lyrics
Thank you so much Michelle for coping with a novice
Introspective, Singer/Songwriter Songs about relationships are needed by a Music Supervisor working on a hot new Reality TV Show. She’s searching for Down-to-Mid-Tempo Songs in the stylistic wheelhouse of: “Say Something” by A Great Big World: http://bit.ly/O5m9L3 “We Are Man And Wife” by Michelle Featherstone: http://bit.ly/1pBuQsR “No-One’s Perfect” by Stereophonics: http://bit.ly/1maVxEA This show focuses on RELATIONSHIPS, good or bad, for better or for worse. Your Songs should have a reflective, intimate, soul-searching approach that can relate to the ups or downs of complicated romantic relationships. Contemporary, acoustic-based guitar or piano songs should work best for this pitch. It's okay if your song has some light band accompaniment like bass and drums, as long as it adds to the emotion and doesn’t overpower the lyrics and melodies. Your vocal performance should be top notch. Please do not submit any songs that sound dated, stiff, or MIDI-driven. Universal lyrics should work best. Avoid references to specific names, dates, places, times, brands, profanity, etc. Lyric themes about falling in or out of love, working it out, braking up, pain, joy, etc., could all be on target for this request. Please, do NOT copy or rip off the referenced artists or songs in any way, shape, or form. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). The estimated license fee for this is $1,000. This is a Direct-to-Music Supervisor pitch, so you’ll keep 100% of your Master and Publishing rights, plus you’ll also get 100% of the sync fee and any applicable performance royalties. You must own or control 100% of the Master and Copyright to pitch for this opportunity. All songs will be screened on a Yes/No basis. No full critiques. Please submit 1-3 songs no later than WEDNESDAY, April 2nd, 2014 by 4pm (PDT). TAXI #U140402RS

Oh dear Amanda,
Oh I know : "this is the End", I remember it well. Or may be I do not. Puzzled now ...
What a good day.
Congratulations to you and Michelle, and Nathan indeed !

Re: My First Ever Forward !!
Thank you very much Russell and Peter
It's thanks to all the help that this forum has given me over the last 18 months, together with Taxi TV and Robin Frederick's books, that I got to the point where I can write lyrics that are suitable for the opportunities I am interested in
Both you Russell and you Peter have often helped me when I have asked what I felt were daft questions over the last year and a half !
