Heartbleed Bug - TAXI is fine...
Hi All,
We've already installed the necessary patches, and the main TAXI website is fine. The forum is hosted on the same server, and should be fine, but we're getting a "can't make a connection" message when doing the bug test, which also says (in so many words), you're probably fine. It's on the same server as the TAXI site, so it should be fine, but we're having the techs check it again anyway. An abundance of caution is a good thing in cases like these.
Click away,
Michael

My pleasure Peter. BTW, just heard this back from our tech regarding the forum and the blog:
"It only affects https, so the only thing you had to worry about was the ssl web sites. The forum isn't ssl, nor is the blog, so they're not affected."
All is good in TAXI-ville,
Michael

VERY cool!!
I didn't realize the severity of this until earlier. Guess I should change a few passwords and things today ...
Thanks again,

Peter, I found the answer to one of my questions on the other thread regarding this issue. "They" recommend changing passwords only after any website reports that they have patched. Otherwise, you may just be giving the bad guys your new password all over again.
i.e. now that Michael has reported that Taxi has "patched," you're clear to change the password for your Member Log-in on the main site if you want, but he said "already installed." ??
Michael, does "already installed" mean Taxi was not vulnerable?

Here's the message from test site:
"All good, taxi.com seems fixed or unaffected!"

Roger that!
I guess I should have clarified "bank related" site and things like that, Russell.
