Is "Hey" Obligatory?

Post by michael11 » Fri Apr 11, 2014 5:59 am

In an effort to remain current can anybody tell me if I should revisit all my old tracks and put a "Hey" on them?

Michael.

I suppose at least "Hey's " aren't key sensitive.

Please let me know as soon as so I can start work.

And I see a Steven Guiles FB like on their page http://soundfxnow.com/sound-fx/dirty-south-hey/

Michael, perhaps this could be your niche... "Hey" music. "Hey" samples.
Although, I think it would be great if we could get back to saying "baby baby baaabeeee" in songs. I use to practice that a lot.

Hi Catherine, you are so sweet.

Unlike my contemporaries!!!!! :D :D :D

An explanation.

A lot of pop music has a shouted, usually by a group and presumably the people who perform in the studio the word "Hey"

I don't know why but for some reason it is remarkably effective but it is just a trend and will probably disappear soon.

Perhaps it offers a tribal element and therefore a sense of belonging.

As you have already no doubt guessed though,I am having a laugh!!!! :D :D :D

Michael.

When are we going to get back to the standard "ohhh". I can never pronounce the word "hey" without sounding like a redneck. But "ohhh" I can do just fine.

A trend that will never die, lol, "hey, hey, my, my, rock and roll will never die", from Neil Young 1979.

Contemporary is being old enough to remember when something was popular the first time, lol!
