Latin Hip Hop listing
Hey all - I'd appreciate some ears on this for the Latin hip hop listing due tomorrow. Are the vocals horribly overcompressed? They are minimally processed otherwise. Any engineering tips for mixing hip hop vocals would also earn my gratitude! Note: the vocal is in Spanish.
Thanks!

So coooool!!
Man I love that rhythm... Great song, IMO. Great mix!!! IMO... Voice works!! IMO
If I had a thing, it might be when the music kinda comes to a stop.. Either with the bass lick or the glockenspiel. Especially the glock. I know why you would use it! It helps to give momentum to the upcoming part, but to ME it seemed like a departure. Maybe too far... I could be wrong, of course...
ThT said, it's fantastic...

Hey Alex!
Great Production and Fun Tune!
I'm hearing two things...
The opening bass, re: the C note
I would cut some EQ off of just that note, it rings out hard in my monitors.
The Tablas are ringing hard as well, just need some EQ attention.
Everything else sounded great!
Nice Work!

Thanks again to Graham and Cass for listening and commenting. Here's my latest mix, probably pretty darn close to what I'll be submitting tomorrow.
