Duck Dynasty - the gift that keeps on giving

Post by deankripp » Thu Jul 03, 2014 3:14 pm

...been awhile since I posted on here but,

- I needed to do so now so I could give another great big shout out to TAXI!!!!

My last couple of ascap royalty statements have included three pages that look like this (see below). Reruns of the first three Duck Dynasty seasons just keep a-rollin and a-payin'. I've also been fortunate enough to have had multiple placements on seasons 4, 5 and 6 so I expect the goodness shall continue.

None of this would have been possible without Taxi and their awesome Road Rally which is where I made the connections that lead to all this coolness.

THANK YOU TAXI :-)

Hey Dean,

That's fantastic and inspiring! Would you have any of the DD cues on Soundcloud or somewhere for a listen?

Thanks, Jim

This is so great, Dean! Thanks for sharing the inspiring news, and for letting us listen to some of the cues that were used. It's small wonder you're making bank off that show... you're music is a perfect fit.

Congrats to you,

~~Matt

Great track titles; very cool tonal textures... thanks for posting and making known, here on the forum,
your material and all the connections along the way.
Congrats on the success.
Cheers.

Thanks!

...for this type of music it really helped that I am a very, very average guitar player. A better player might have played too many notes. I have an inability to play too many notes which leaves plenty of space for an actors dialog.
