Female, Indie Pop Rock Forward

Post by FMstereo » Wed Jul 09, 2014 10:02 pm

Scott Free and I had our song, Feels Like Midnight, forwarded for the following:

FEMALE, INDIE POP ROCK SONGS are needed by an A-List Music Supervisor for several Hit TV shows she’s currently working on. Give her Down-to-Mid-Tempo Songs in the stylistic arena of artists like Laura Welsh, London Grammar, Broods, etc. Please check out the following songs to hear the sound, style, and feel that could work for this pitch: “Cold Front” by Laura Walsh: http://bit.ly/1q6yNdW “Bridges” by Broods: http://bit.ly/1nDJPRE “Beloved” by Say Lou Lou: http://bit.ly/1lNWy7b She’s searching for atmospheric, laid-back Songs with a current Indie Pop/Rock vibe. Songs with warm, interesting electronic elements are encouraged. Memorable, melodic, chorus hooks will help you grab the attention of this Music Supervisor. Your vocal performance should be compelling, powerful, and even a bit seductive. Please do NOT submit anything that’s stiff, dated, or MIDI sounding. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). Lyric themes about love, relationships, breakups, trust, betrayal, etc., should relate well to this show’s characters and storylines. Please keep your lyrics universal, and avoid references to specific names, dates, times, places, times, profanity, etc. The estimated license fee for this use is $1,000 - $3,000. This is a Direct-to-Music Supervisor pitch, so you'll keep 100% of your Master and Publishing rights, plus you'll also get 100% of the sync fee and any applicable performance royalties from your PRO. You must own or control 100% of the Master and Copyright to pitch for this opportunity. Please do NOT copy or rip off the referenced artists or songs in any way, shape, or form. All songs will be screened on a Yes/No basis. No full critiques. Please submit 1-3 Songs no later than MONDAY, JUNE 30th, 2014 by 4pm (PDT). TAXI #U140630PR

man this song is so versatile! i hear elements of aerosmith, elo, beatles. the simple piano ballad arrangement works great, and i could also hear it as a fully rocked out thing, with a steven tyler doing the lead vox. big congrats to you and scott!
