5 Songs Signed to Music Library from 1 Forward

Post by brianleewheat » Tue Jul 15, 2014 8:49 am

My song "Let Me In" was forward for the listing below and my contact at the library wanted more. I ended up with 5 songs signed, which were written specifically for his project, a 90s based new TV show on MTV.

'90s POP/ROCK INSTRUMENTAL TRACKS are needed by a MUSIC LIBRARY actively pitching to Film and TV. This Library's already signed many TAXI members and has successfully placed their music into some popular TV shows. They're on the hunt for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Tracks in the general stylistic ballpark of bands like Punchline, Third Eye Blind, Everclear, etc. Quoting the source, "We want Pop/Rock Instrumentals in a 'song format.' We need to hear an intro, verse, chorus, verse, etc." All Tracks should have a typical Rock band line-up of electric guitars, bass, and drums. Instrumentals with light keyboard pads will be accepted. The overall mood should be upbeat, fun, and rockin'. Instrumentals that have a '90s style, sound, and vibe will work best. It's okay if your Track has been recently recorded, as long as it sounds authentic to the '90s era Pop/Rock that's been requested. They don't want any Tracks that are dark, moody, grungy, or heavily distorted. Please do NOT submit anything that sounds stiff or MIDI-driven. All submissions should be at least two minutes long. Buttoned endings are encouraged but not required. Do not submit any material with unauthorized samples of other artists' songs, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). This Library offers an EXCLUSIVE three-year agreement. If your Instrumental Track is placed within the three-year term, and earns over $300, your Track will automatically enter into an agreement for perpetuity (meaning for life of the copyright) with this Library. If your Track is NOT placed within the three-year term, 100% of ALL rights will revert back to you! You must own or control 100% of the Master and Copyright to pitch for this opportunity. You CANNOT have your Track placed with any other libraries or catalogs. All Instrumental Tracks will be screened on a Yes/No basis. No full critiques. Please submit one to three Instrumentals online or per CD no later than FRIDAY, March 21st, by 4pm (PDT). TAXI #D140321PR
