I'm finally getting myself out there this year. So looking forward to it! I'll be sniffing around these threads to learn from RR vets so I can be at least somewhat prepared.

One question I have right off the bat is: what if I can't get there until Thursday evening - like dinner time? Anyone know if that's a problem re: registration?

If you show up around dinner time, the registration line will still be in full swing. Although you will have to cue up at the end and maybe miss out on your fav for the one-on-one mentoring signups.

I believe registration fires back up Friday morning for those who aren't there Thursday eve.

lots of new faces this year! looking forward to meeting / seeing y'all.

and yes - as Russell said the primary reason to get there early on Thursday is to get first pick of mentors in the one-on-one session. And that means standing in a lengthy lineup - but its a good way to meet other TAXI passengers and Crawdaddy even got a library deal out of that time.

That being said - there are a lot of mentoring sessions all weekend, like the "drive-by" evening sessions so there are a lot of opportunities to get feedback.

Hi Andy, what time do people normally start to line up?

I see it starts at 5:30pm but I guess best line up 1-2 hrs before? or more?

Pretty early actually. I think one year I was there about noon and wasn't at the front. I don't bother getting there that early anymore.
But if you are going to do it plan to be there before noon. Maybe Casey or someone who is an old hand would have a better idea of time. Or Maybe Michael Laskow will chime in.

My first Rally I got in line at 10 am and was about 10 people from the front. But I made a lot of friends waiting in line.
