A couple great resources to share

Post by thesongriders » Mon Aug 11, 2014 12:48 pm

Hi everyone,

I found a couple great resources last night I'd like to share.

The first is oriented towards guitar players. It's a series of videos by session guitarist extraordinaire Tim Pierce. I probably learned more about guitar playing in one night than I have all year. His credits are truly incredible. The videos span numerous topics from gear, to how to play certain songs, to improvisation and soloing.

The other is a series of videos of John Mayer talking at Berklee. I found it fascinating to hear him talk about songwriting, the music business, and how he struggles with many of the same problems we do. There's 9 videos in total I believe. Here's a link to the first.

I hope this is as helpful to some of you as it was to me.
