2 forwards for UPBEAT ELECTRONICA U140902EL

Post by rksinger » Sun Sep 07, 2014 7:21 pm

This was direct to a Music Supervisor, so hoping I get an email or call. It was odd to get a forward and still get a critique that he didn't like that I used guitars. I'll take'em out, gimme a minute

Love doing this kind of cross cut electronica. I could do it in my sleep. So switching out those guitars is no problem. Just hope I get a chance to make him/her happy!

The 2 songs are on my taxi page:

1. Giddy Up
2. Try This

U140902EL

UPBEAT, ELECTRONICA Songs with Male OR Female vocals are needed by a Top Music Supervisor working on a Major Cable Network TV show. He's searching for Up-Tempo Songs that could be found on the same playlist as artists like The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, The Crystal Method, etc., etc., etc. Check out theses examples of the type of sound, feel, and style that could work for this pitch: “Block Rockin’ Beats” by The Chemical Brothers “Firestarter” by The Prodigy “Jupiter Shift” by The Crystal Method Your Songs should have a heavy Club/Dance feel with driving energy and Big Break Beats! Give him songs that could add energy and vibe when use as background source music in various scenes. Much of this show’s action takes place at underground parties, bars, and clubs. It’s an action/crime/drama that revolves around the underworld, money, beautiful women, sex, drugs, violence, etc. He’s searching for songs with the kind of inertia, groove, and energy that could keep you up partying all night! Universal lyrics should work best for this pitch. Please keep your lyric themes simple and direct. He’s NOT looking for detailed or complicated storylines that could conflict with the show’s script. Minimal, repetitive, call-out style vocal hooks could hit the mark for this pitch. Please avoid references to specific names, dates, times, brands, etc. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). Please do NOT copy or rip off the referenced artists or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them ONLY as a general stylistic guide for tone, tempo, and vibe. Do not submit any material with unauthorized samples of other artist’s songs, sounds, or any other form of media. The estimated license fee is $500 - $1,500 (depending on the ultimate use). This is a Direct-to-Music Supervisor placement, so you’ll keep 100% of the sync fee, and your Master and Composition rights. Plus, you’ll also get 100% of any applicable performance royalties. You must own or control 100% of the Master and Composition. All songs will be screened on a Yes/No basis. No full critiques. Please submit 1-3 songs online or per CD no later than TUESDAY, September 2nd, by 3:30pm (PDT). TAXI #U140902EL

Congratulations indeed, dear Frank, :) ;)

I love the Electronica Genre. I tried it myself several times :

I am listening to "Giddy Up" and to "Try This"

They have it ! They have what it takes to be excellent Upbeat Electronica Instrumentals.
The flair, yes, and the craziness, but it is very well controlled as it has to be.
And with smart inventive Hooks from time to time, in order to make it all interesting.
The Beats change all the time. It moves in all directions. It has plenty of Energy. It has plenty of Sounds.
Although it is not too busy. Nothing is too loud or too heavy.

I can see, you are a Pro dear Frank. We can learn from you.
