In the past we always tried to be discreet
There were only certain places that we’d meet
Our love hid undercover of the night
But tonight we ended up, in a crowded downtown club
Dancin’ close beneath the lights

Thinkin’ what if someone sees us
We won’t be able to pretend
Cos if we say we’re only friends
No one will believe us

Then we didn’t rent a cheap room like before
We drove to a moonlit spot along the shore
When I held you it felt daring, bold and free
Now there’s shoes and pants, a shirt…stockings, high heels, blouse and skirt
