Don't be Lazy with Bridges like Me!

Sometimes I'll write a verse and chorus that I really like, then I'll write a second verse, and if I can't think of a good bridge right away, I'll just be lazy and put a guitar solo over the verse or chorus chords and call it a bridge. I just got one such song returned with the following comments:

The instrumental and vocal performances here are top quality, however I thought that the structure could be more fully realized with a bridge section between the second and third chorus sections providing a distinct and enhancing point of transition.

And I couldn't agree more. lol. Time to take things up a notch.
