I'm self taught at everything I do, so the terminology sometimes escapes me. In the louder sections the sound get a little watery or wobbly - it's almost like listening to a cassette tape that's stretched out (so it's not crystal clear). I can generate that effect sometimes when I compress files down to mp3's, so I believe its digital compression which cause the issue.

Does that help?

John

I know how that feels :). I'm the same.

I remember in my old band, explaining how I wanted the songs to be played - giving little nuggets like "more jungley" and "boomy" to the drummer etc...

Yeah I'll check it out - hopefully its in the encoding. Need to pull the trigger on this one soon and I want it to be the bets it can be.

Thanks John. You going to the Rally?

I'm sure I'll join you for one or two. It'll be great to meet the forum folks.

I'll be reigning myself in though as much as I can - I'm Irish and I hate to be a walking cliche...but I'm an incurable nightowl! Need to make these few days count though. I actually get in on the Wed, so I'll be nicely settled.

Drop me a PM if you're interested in before Friday and fancy meeting up for A drink
