Lamar - the lyrics was definitely tricky. I was trying to be funny AND science-y. That's why I went to several friends who are science teachers and/or professors of impressive stuff. And I also discovered after the fact that our very own Michelle Lockey is a total science geek. Who knew?

Hey Steven — cool song that sounds like it's right on target. I composed one as well for this listing but couldn’t complete the remix by the deadline. Perhaps there’ll be a call for a quirky tune like this again in the future. The good news is I had forwards with a Jazz-Muzak listing and one that called for music in a video game.

I got a forward, but since I haven't heard from anyone at this point, I'm thinking they probably found another song.
It was a quick turn around and I think they've moved on.

But, it was still nice to get the forward.

When I questioned a Taxi rep on how long it could take before a member finds out if a song is actually going to used, I was told it could take up to a year. I guess the message we can take from that is don't hold your breath.

In this particular case, since it was an Urgent quick-turnaround type event, I'm resigning myself to the possibility that it is over.

But, that will make me all the more excited if I get a phone call in a year from a music supervisor saying, "Hey...we'd like to use your song about Genetics in..."

I have already started submitting the instrumental. Originally it was all about the instrumental anyway, so it totally works as an instrumental.
