On Black Friday I downloaded Scarbee Funk Guitarist for $49. Now, funk guitar is a very specific thing, but it's really cool and after spending an hour or so acquainting myself with how it works, it was really fun too. I've got a track almost 90% down using it, and once it's done I will post it.

I hope you do post it - love to hear it. (btw, I bought a few things from NI during that sale too - in particular the Scarbee Rick bass. It's killer (but a little out of tune sometimes).

Just an update if anyone is still reading. Peavey Revalver 4 is awesome. Peavey is one of those companies that seems to be like an old fashioned stodgy PA or amp company. But then they've consistently had these had these surprisingly fantastic products over the years - their electric basses for a while, Revalver, some of their keyboard controllers.

Anyway, revalver is awesome if you're in the market for an amp sim.

For those of you interested, here is the song I recorded which used the Scarbee Funk Guitarist.

It took an afternoon to figure it out, but once I did, it was really fun to play.

i really like NI guitar rig 5 pro it also has this weird button for really much higher resolution too (cpu hungry though :? )

you can try NI guitar rig "players" (free download) "unlimited demo" to try stuff it has some cool presets. BUT
gr5PRO has all the REAL goodies you really want.. i haven't heard any thing better to me anyways..
