funny, i was just thinking about that aspect of social media before i read this. that is, i've had business and other relationships, both one-on-one and groups, via social media--some for years-- but never meet the people. that's what i love about taxi forums...you get the real deal annually, buy each other beers, jam, joke around, on and on.

Russell, you're bang on! Last year was my first Rally and I got to meet many great folks who I now I connect with in the cyberworld. But I've also connected with many people like you ONLY in this realm since then. So my #1 priority for this year's Rally is to put a name to a face.

My wife attended last year but for her it was mostly because of business...she's my lyricist and manager...and of course, supporter as well

I know I haven't had a chance to make it out to the Rally yet so I'm still one of those imaginary members!

Hopefully one day (Rally 2016 to be exact) I'll get my wish and finally become a real boy! uh, gal. (insert pinocchio emoticon here)

Dang - I tried to be aware of the DOTS... even made my badge plainly evident.
I'll chalk it up for another excuse - which is toadily unnecessary - to attend my 2nd rally.

Indeed... in fact, so many seemed disappointed that I wasn't wearing the 20-gal hat in my Avatar photo (which I don't own, btw)...
so... I may have to make a special trip back to Luckenbach to buy it to wear in 2016!
