Right or Wrong

Post by bobporri » Wed Dec 10, 2014 6:28 pm

I just had another one forwarded.

Feel good INDIE ROCK SONGS with some psychedelic influence, and Male OR Female Vocals are needed by a Hollywood Music Supervisor working on a brand new TV series. He needs current sounding Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs in the general stylistic ballpark of bands like Citay, White Denim, House of Fire, etc. This will be used as source music in a restaurant scene, and here are some songs he mentioned that could work for the musical direction for this specific pitch: “Dream Get Together” by Citay “New Blue Feeling” by White Denim “Walking Along the Sun” by House of Fire Quoting the source: “I want feel good Indie Rock with an obvious Psychedelic sound. This is for a low played background source music use in a restaurant, so lyrics are pretty much irrelevant, but they should be universal just in case. An acoustic foundation with a contemporary psychedelic sound that adds and subtracts other instrumentation will work great. Please let the members know that the melody/lead vocal should be mixed well into the song so when the volume is low the vocal doesn’t stick out too much.” Give them rose-colored songs that have a full song structure, with instrumentation that sounds like it’s in the ballpark of the referenced songs. Remember, the scene will have dialogue in it, so be sure your song isn’t too busy or frenetic. It’s all about the vibe and atmosphere your song delivers, so please keep that in mind rhythmically, melodically, and vocally. Lyrics should be universal, avoiding references to specific names, dates, times, places, brands, and profanity. Please do NOT copy or rip off the referenced artists in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, texture, tone, and vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). The estimated license fee for this use is $1,000 - $2,000. This is a Direct-to-Music Supervisor placement, so you’ll keep 100% of your Publishing and Master rights, plus you’ll keep 100% of the sync fee and any applicable performance royalties. You must own or control 100% of the Copyright and Master to pitch for this opportunity. All Songs and/or Instrumentals will be screened on a Yes/No basis by a Music Coordinator working directly on the show. No full critiques. Please submit 1-3 Songs no later than 4pm (PDT), on Monday, November 24th, 2014. TAXI #U141124IR
