Peter Peter Peter

Where did this come from now. Is this from the archives. Is that you singing. I need answers:)

I remember playing those riffs. Cool tune and not in need of any critiques???

Your feet have to tap to this. Just saying.

sincerely

Yeh, Paul: sad, sometimes, how life situations can stall a project for so long;
but the labor-of-love sentiment never fades.
Thanks to your comments, I've edited this post: hopefully I can find a savvy horn-guy...
who digs Tower of Power as much as I do... and get a for-hire quote to get this off the shelf,
and back onto the front burner: to GITTER DONE!

Credits for this track:
drums: Gregg Bissonette
bass: Matt Bissonette
B3: Bill Champlin
guitar: Danny Jacob
vocal: Chuck Perez
2nd rhythm guitar bits: moi

Cool tune Peter. Nice vocals and good emotiion overall. Part of me wanted to hear some harmonies but then I thought it's probably unnecessary. the production vibe is very cool.

I believe Matt Vander Boegh is a horn guy.

Thanks, Eric.
Actually, that's still a "scratch" vocal... for the final I'd seek out more of a James Brown-type vocal with lots more edge and funk to it; WITH harmonies in the Chorus, for sure.
Lotta work left to be done.
"Bo knows horns..." so I've heard; thus, he's a very busy dude! :? 8-)

Cool stuff Peter. I hope to hear it when you get the other parts added, horns, more voices maybe (Just don't let all those horns edge out a guitar solo  ) .

Hey Peter, don't know how I missed this thread, but I may be able to blast out some trumps for ya on this one. If you're going for the full TOP vibe, you'll want to track down a killer bari sax player too, but I could at least sketch out some horn lines. Being that I'm on Christmas break for the next 3 weeks, I could probably knock this out before spring semester starts up. I think horns would really send this track over the top.

I love horns. Can't play them, though I did play French Horn when I was a kid in my schools concert band (the women swooned).

So I say go all out, the tune does call for it and I can hear exactly where and what they should be playing.

Good luck and I will await the results.

John
