Kanye Twitty ©2014 Robert George BMI

Joey grew up near a grove of cedars
On a small Kentucky farm
Out there where the country air is sweeter
Than a bowl of Lucky Charms
Workin’ and a sweatin’ all those long days
Kept his abs in tip-top shape
And although his fav’rite tunes were Conway’s
He liked old school hip-hop tapes

Then one night he did a little drinkin’
And his mind became a haze
Took a joyride in the preacher’s Lincoln
And wound up with thirty days
Ev’ry night the guards’d do their bed checks
After lights out at the jail
Joey had them bad hillbilly rednecks
Rappin’ in their cells

And the moves he’s got are fit as a fiddle
And the grooves are hot as grits on the griddle
Yeah, his lines were nitty gritty
And his rhymes were pretty witty
He damn sure had his say
And he said it all his way
Cos you can’t make great music by committee
O his hooks’ll pull you right in
So they took to callin’ him
Kanye Twitty

And then one guard gave up law enforcement
Just to manage Joe’s career
Then he landed Music Row’s endorsement
And a deal with Miller Beer
Joe wore Levi jeans and some big ass boots
And still loved the honky-tonks
Yeah, his fans are urban bred and grass roots
And they love him in the Bronx

Cos the moves he’s got are fit as a fiddle
And the grooves are hot as grits on the griddle
Yeah, his lines are nitty gritty
And his rhymes are pretty witty
He damn sure has his say
And he says it all his way
Cos you can’t make great music by committee
O his hooks are as tight as Kim
So they took to callin’ him
Kanye Twitty

Yeah, he mashes up Grandmaster Flash
With “Hello Darlin’” and “Tight Fittin’ Jeans
Some think rappin’ just means faster cash
But they don’t know what well written means

Yeah, the moves he’s got are fit as a fiddle
And his grooves are hot as grits on the griddle
And his lines are nitty gritty
And his rhymes are pretty witty
He damn sure has his say
And he says it all his way
Cos you can’t make great music by committee
O his hooks’ll pull you right in
So they took to callin’ him
Kanye Twitty

O his hooks are as tight as Kim
So they took to callin’ him
Kanye Twitty
Kanye Twitty
Kanye Twitty….

Like the title; catchy play-on-words; got music and beats for this?
Just an additional idea... maybe in the Outro...
a chorus of harmony voices, faintly echoing "twitter 'Twitty'... in the city..."

Cheers,
Peter

Maybe seeking out a Hick-Hop collaboration/production could render these good lyrics
in an appropriate and fun way. Hope you find a way to make a good song happen from it all.
Cheers.
