Nice tune fellas. I think you nailed it with Midnite Oil. A lot of great sounds and the mix sounds solid to me except I think the synth is a little too loud in the bridge. And the bridge sounds cool, but seems to have more of a contemporary sound than the rest of the song (which might be desireable for all I know).

Leaving the mix reviews to others:
fwiw:
Really like the hook-y-ness (is that a word?) of your muted guitar riff (or is that a synth?!)
that starts this going;
very catchy, and felt really drawn in to listening; very cool.
Can't zackly splain why... but I'm hearing a bit of David Bowie in the whole vocal and vibe...
could picture hearing him doing a song like this.
hth; cheers.

Thank you peter and paul (where's mary?? LOL, sorry i couldn't resist).
Thanks for your input . Much appreciated. I'll check out the bridge synth in the morning.
Is it me or does it sound pretty 80's rock?

That's what I was thinking, very 80's rock, Men at Work, Duran Duran, and maybe dipped in to 90's rock?

Re: what would you call this?
nice! sounds a little r.e.m. too.
i would just darken the vocal and drums a bit, maybe with a lo pass filter...slide it along to the left til it feels right.
and bass up a db or 2.
