Forward for Moody SS songs

Post by shellsings » Tue Jan 27, 2015 7:04 am

Hey ! Got a fwd and an awesome review from screener 347 for my song Heavy that was forwarded to this listing! I love good reviews and a fwd by 347!!

Hi Michelle, I think you do a great job right from the top keeping the song full vocally, filling in the sparseness of the piano. I think that the vocals effects work really nicely to add that "moodiness" requested and I think that the backing vocals add nice subtle emotional depth and just a touch of passion without loosing the contemporary sound. There is a mix of emotions here, pain and passion, that I find really provocative and think could work beautifully in licensing for a variety of scenes.

INTROSPECTIVE and/or MOODY, ACOUSTIC-BASED SINGER/SONGWRITER SONGS with Female Vocals are needed by a very successful Music Library that's building a new NON-Exclusive catalog. This is a great chance to get in on the ground floor of this well-established company's brand new catalog. Give them emotionally stirring Down-to-Mid-Tempo Songs in the stylistic wheelhouse of songs by artists like Kina Grannis, Priscilla Ahn, Mary Lambert, etc., etc., etc. Quoting the source: "Songs should either have acoustic guitar or piano as the primary focus. Strings that can draw more emotion out of the audience could work well, but they're not absolutely necessary if the overall performance is emotionally evocative. An emotional vocal performance is a key element that I'm looking for." Please submit well-crafted songs with an emotive vocal performance, great hooks, captivating melodies, and a really strong chorus. Lyric themes can be just about anything that would fall under the introspective or moody umbrella, and should be universal and PG-Rated.

really nice michelle. your voice is perfectly suited for the song...and vice versa.

everything came together on this one, all elements working together to create a single emotion. not easy to do!

congrats on the forward too. well deserved!

ps, feels like some of the heartbeats don't quite land right on the beat. not sure if that was intentional?
