There’s no answer
Seasons bloom and seasons die
Life is love or loneliness
O and we can only guess
The reasons why

Ev’ry morning
Doors appear and open wide
I’ll live blind and lose the sun
O if I don’t choose the one
With hope inside

Yes, I look back now and I see
My youth has waned too soon
And my shadow has thinned
Yet I know my life belongs to me
Not the whims of the moon
Or the will of the wind

We shoot arrows
At a sky we claim to know
Though the sky is choice and chance
If we don’t rejoice and dance
We aim too low
