Cochise, Arizona
That’s the tiny town where I was born
Just some dirt farms, old dry lakes and thorns
And I’d stare off into space
Thinking of some other place
Sipping on a cold Corona
Cochise, Arizona
Where I fin’lly joined the mean Marines
Hoping they would march me toward my dreams
Folks’d ask where I was from
I’d say I’m a native son
Out of Tulsa, Oklahoma
Some said heaven’s streets are paved with gold
Full of glories that remain untold
But I had to leave to fin’lly see
Just what heaven really means to me
Cochise, Arizona
Cactus flowers from the summer rains
Winter dry lake filled with Sandhill cranes
I’m so thankful that The Lord
Let this be my sweet reward
Sipping on a cold Corona
Back in Cochise, Arizona
Cochise, Arizona
That’s the tiny town where I was born…
