Michael is right when he says that we (Taxi members) don't share all or our successes. And this is not because we don't care, it's simply because there are so many things going on that sometimes we literally don't have the time.

I have two placements recently, both with good friends I made here at Taxi. This music wouldn't exist and wouldn't be placed without the Road Rally and these relationships.

Seth Littlefield and I had our instrumental piece, Massive Aggressive placed on Joker's Wild.
Pedro Costa and I had our song Walk Stroll Jive placed on Lone Star Lady.



Makin' more each royalty check. I had my largest international check EVER. (my first check over $99...so, I'm not independently wealthy or anything like that).

So, my five year plan (I think I'm in year 3) is working.



There are many more cues and songs that have been placed because of my work with Taxi.
I had a check from another company for a song I rewrote SEVERAL times becuase Taxi screeners pushed me to make it better.

Listening to and applying feedback from screeners paid me more that I spent on submissions AND membership for three years.

Run the race. It's a long one. Don't give up. Keep pushing to improve.

Hard work pays off... eventually, whenever ASCAP or BMI gets around to cutting that check! You're totally right though, it's a marathon, so lace up those shoes and settle in for the long haul. It really doesn't happen any other way.

Yeah, it is certainly a long haul thing. I prefer to think of it as my Career. It is what I love doing and I do it constantly. I plan on doing this for the rest of my life. And beyond.
