Hey Richard,

The mix is working well. Two minor edits I would make...

One, lower the volume on the triangle hit.

Two, I'm getting a surge of bass during some of the fills (I think it's the toms), so you might want to bring them down a little.

As to the song itself, you lost me when you went back into the intro at 1:47. There's nothing wrong with reintroducing that theme at that point, but maybe make it beefier - don't let it slow the song down?

I loved the instrumental ending, so that brought me back.

John

good points john.

i heard that too in the toms.

and had the same thought about the re-intro. will probably just use the second half of it.

thanks, (and you too peter).

edits done.

took your suggestions john about the re-intro in the middle of the song...cut it in half. and turned the toms down a bit. appreciate your input!

Hey Richard,

That fixes those two things I mentioned!

Now listening to it again I'd suggest two small additions.

One, a crash cymbal at 1:53. To me, it's begging for one.

Also, at the same point I'd be tempted to add in a tambourine. I always like to build the arrangements as they go along, so that there is always something happening for the listener and I think that subtle addition would work really well.

BTW, you are looking more and more like John Fogerty since the last time I saw you!

Hey, Richard,

I'll leave the mix issues to those who know, but I just wanted to say how much this reminds me of Little Feat. Somehow reggae from the US has such a different flavour from the UK.

Nice work, guys.

Yes the 2nd version is better...especially John's suggestion about bringing back the intro in the middle of the song. Well Done.
