Quick turnaround on this one...

Post by Piewackit1 » Tue Mar 03, 2015 7:26 pm

I really wanted this forward. Our song Take a Stand made it.

https://soundcloud.com/piewackit-1/make-a-stand

GRITTY, BLUES-Y ALT ROCK SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by an A-List Hollywood Music Supervisor for a NON-Exclusive placements in a Hit TV Series, AND a brand new TV Series that’s currently in post-production. Yep, this is kind of like a “two-fer,” because your songs will be considered for TWO shows! This Supervisor needs well-crafted, Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs that could be found on the same playlist as bands like Greenleaf, Band of Skulls, The Stone Foxes, etc., etc., etc. Please listen to the references to get yourself in the general ballpark of what she needs: “Stray Bullet Woman” by Greenleaf: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Eokeo-M3f8 “Asleep at the Wheel” by Band of Skulls: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRm7OS258DU “Patience” by The Stone Foxes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlZoDwa2z-M Quoting the source: “I’m currently working on two shows at the moment, and both could use Blues-y Alt Rock source music for bar and restaurant scenes.” Please submit songs with a current, authentic Alt Rock sound, with a healthy dose of Blues inspiration, lots of attitude and some gritty edge. Down-and-dirty guitar riffs, memorable hooks, engaging melodies, and a killer chorus will make you stand out for this golden opportunity. Lyric themes that focus on the grittier side of life would work best for this pitch, but that’s not an absolute requirement. Any lyric themes that would typically be heard in the Gritty Alt Rock genre should do fine as long as you avoid mentioning any specific names, dates, times, brands, places, and profanity. Do NOT copy or rip off the referenced artists or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). The estimated license fee is $500 - $1,500, depending on the ultimate placement. This is a Non-Exclusive, Direct-to-Music Supervisor pitch, so you'll keep 100% of the sync fee and any applicable performance royalties. Plus you'll also keep 100% of your Publishing and Master ownership. You must own or control 100% of the Master and Copyright to pitch for this opportunity. All Songs will be screened on a Yes/No basis by a person who has been hand-picked by the Music Supervisor. No full critiques. Please submit 1-3 Songs no later than 11am (PST), on Thursday, February 26th, 2015. TAXI #U150226BR

Great song. Congratulations on getting the forward. But, it would have been totally crazy if you didn't!
