Shadows hangin’ in a Dallas tavern
Look like bats inside a darkened cavern
In a crowd that’s lonely, lost and haunted
Broken spirits feel as if they’re wanted
And like they belong
Somewhere on this earth

Lake winds cut the night like cold stilettos
Through the heart of dark Chicago ghettos
Girl gets in a Chevy on the corner
