A different type of 'success'

Post by funsongs » Wed Mar 11, 2015 12:03 pm

Around the Christmas holiday 2013, I posted this little ditty: as a small, fun-loving token of my appreciation to the friendly forums folks.
https://soundcloud.com/funsongs-1/taxi- ... d-1st-demo

True story: an old family friend happened to listen to this song, and took it a little too seriously.
Apparently he thought that I was using real taxi services-for-hire to get around, because I didn't own a car. So: having one he'd planned on selling anyway, and feeling sorry for me... what a tenderhearted fellow... gave me his big old Mercedes!! For real!!
Saying: "keep it or sell it and keep the cash."

Truly: the Lord works in mysterious & funny ways.
The two of us had quite a laugh over it all when I explained the true origin of the song.

Well: that's my success story, and I'm stickin' to it. :? 8-) :)
Cheers,
Peter R.

ed. I did sell the black '89 300 SE, and bought a small drum kit :? !!
it's all about priorities, ya know... ;)

That was a hoot! I could use a new car, I guess I'd better get writing some Christmas songs :) Thank you for giving me a laugh this morning " I ain't got no job, I live with my Mom " . My brother and I have a character we made up, by the name of "Bernard". Check out our cartoon website "Hoyboys.net". You'll find Bernard " Up In My Room " and many other cartoons.

Again, thanks for the laugh

Either that, or Santa Claus is real after all. OR you just pulled off the biggest scam of the year! Hahaha, regardless, congrats on the Benz!!
