Newbie here

Post by the1lyricistmm » Fri Mar 20, 2015 3:19 pm

Hello everyone, my name is Mary. I'm a newbie to the forums. I've been checking out Taxi for the last couple of weeks (3 weeks) debating rather or not to sign up. It's amazing all the tools (forums, videos, Road Rally, etc) Taxi provides for artist to improve their skills.

I'm here to improve my songwriting skills, learn as much as I can, and to find talented people to collaborate with. I fear not taking a chance to become a better writer and not building a friendship with those who can help me become a better songwriter. I don't want to look back and regret anything when it comes to making music.

Stop by and say hi! If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

I'm not the best at intro's.

Hey Mary

Welcome to Taxi. You have come to the right spot, if you are interested in improving your writing. The folks here are very generous and honest with their advice and encouragement. The forum is very addictive and you will learn a lot about where your music will fit in the best.

Cheers

Hi Mary.

Welcome to the Forums. You've come to the right place. Peer to Peer is a great place to participate musically, and you can also learn a lot by critically listening to others' songs and commenting.
I joined the Forums first as well. And Participated. And watched the TAXI listings. And after a bit I pulled the trigger and joined TAXI. This really IS a great community.

Thank you, Russell. I'll definitely have to check out the peer to peer forum. I've noticed they have lyric lovers forum. I'll definitely be checking it out.

It sounds like I'm on the same track you were when you first started on the rorums. The two big goals I have are to sign up for Taxi and post to Taxi listings. I've heard my songs are good from family, friends, and even complete stranger but I have to find out for myself what the professionals think. First things first...I have to be brave enough to let go of my fears. Wow, that's a little to deep for a Saturday morning...haha!
